Justitia et Pax - Justice and Peace

In an age of treachery and darkness, one king brought peace and prosperity to his land, defended it from every danger, and expanded it to an empire that would rival Rome itself. His wise counselor taught him the ways of justice and to value truth. At his command a loyal band of fearless, gentle knights protected the helpless, struggled against evil, and faced unimagined peril in the search for the holiest of relics. Though his queen and his best knight would betray him, though his own son would defeat him, though the shining kingdom he had forged would fall into ruin, still he set the standard by which all other leaders would be judged for centuries.

  Since medieval ages of the Knights of Justice, all the General Chapters of the Order have underlined the importance of the option for the poor, of the concern to promote Justice and Peace as an essential dimension of the Knights of Justice which lies at the heart of our life and mission.

  Our Vision
As an important organization within the Order, the Knights of Justice are improving the conditions that promote human dignity and establishing a more just society. Our primary endeavour is to help prepare and to serve as ethical and dynamic guardians of change in regional, national and global communities.

  Our Mission
The intercommunity of the Knights of Justice (KOJ) works to integrate faith and justice in all areas of life, and to effect changes in societal structures toward the realization of a more human, just, and peaceful society. In living out this mission, KOJ networks with a broad range of worldwide coalitions.

The mission of the Knights of Justice is to develop programs, strategies, and actions that further economic, social and environmental justice, human rights, dignity, and peace for all people worldwide. The Knights of Justice working to strengthen the efforts of existing progressive organizations, to establish connections among people around the world, and to build coalitions through coordinated action, support, and sharing of resources.

  Our Guiding Principles
The Knights of Justice are committed to:

  • Providing programs in accordance with the international laws of Justice and Peace, and applying these to world's critical problems.
  • Designing forums that engage participants in meaningful dialogue on controversial subjects.
  • Assisting international Justice and Peace Authorities, and becoming guardian for Justice and Peace through effective advocacy for worldwide justice and peace.
  • Enhancing understanding of and appreciation for diverse cultures through service that does justice.
